There has been nobody that transformed a club like Bird right away. Not even Magic, nor Jordan.
Jordan ended up being the Goat because as Bird said you have to go by championships. But LeBron didn't have it any harder. Birds Celtics sucked.
I think most GMs, taking history, take Bird first over anyone. That's just the facts. Its history. And you can only be compared to how you impacted your era.

NO, old man. LeBron was 22 when he made his first NBA Finals in the year 2007. He turned 22 in December of 2006, and stayed 22 until December of 2007. The 2006-07 Season NBA Finals happened in between those dates. LeBron dragged a team of nobodies to the NBA Finals in his third season, where they lost to one of the greatest dynasties in modern basketball, at age 22.
Larry Bird went to, and won, his first NBA Championship in his third season, at age 24, alongside a roster of Tiny Archibald, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish. That's 3 Hall of Famers, for those keeping score. Cedric Maxwell was no slouch, either.

You mean the Kevin mchale that avged 10ppg and 4rpg? Or archibalds 13ppg or maxwells 15ppg lol not one of those guys were as good as Wade or Bosh or Love or Irving ever were with Lebron that season. Lmfao but yea those are hall of fame years for those guys. By your logic Lebron has played with about 12 all stars and a bunch of hall of famers too. Lol It's obvious you have no idea what you're talking about just stick to making excuses for the queen you don't know anything that happened pre 2007 in the NBA.

Archibald averaged 14 points and 8 assists per game and was named to the all-NBA second team. Both he and Parish received MVP votes.

Even if true, this is completely irrelevant to LeBron's first seven years in Cleveland.

I mean I agree that the safety pin shite was super lame and all, not really sure how that makes LeBron less of a basketball player than anyone though
That is how you know LeBron is incredibly close to passing Jordan. All of the reasons people hate on him have nothing to do with being a basketball player. He wore a safety pin, made a production out of his free agent decision, and he's friends with most of the superstars in the league, ergo, he's not as good at basketball as Michael.

LeBron James could retire today and be a sure-fire Top-5 player to ever play. As it stands, he has a few years of elite basketball left and likely ends his career as the second-best to ever play. Some may argue he's in that conversation now.
- Barring injury, he will end his career Top-10 in both points and assists, which is something no other player can claim. There is a very real chance he threatens the all-time record in points scored.
- Trails only Michael Jordan in PER.
- Has three NBA Championships.
- He has four MVP awards.
- 12 All-NBA selections is T-3rd all-time and he is on his way to holding that record, too.
Amazes me that some still cannot appreciate how incredible LeBron is. We are watching a player that is rapidly climbing toward the greatest to ever play.

13.8 is not 14 7.7 is not 8. How can you avg a certain number that you avg less than?
Posted on 5/10/17 at 7:24 am to Madking
quote:Wait. You said he averaged 13, when he averaged 13.8. And you're criticizing the other poster for saying 14?

I mean come on. They teach basic rounding in elementary school.

Lmao if you don't reach a certain number how can you use that number instead of the one you actually reached? If you don't get to 14 points in a game do you say you scored 14 or less than 14? This is simple you can't round up to a number that the information says cannot be reached. My god dude if you avg 29.6 ppg for a season as your career high are were you ever a 30ppg scorer?

I asked you a normal question and you told me to walk off a pier. That's a pathetic and childish response.
