I can't remember where, but I read an article or heard an interview along the lines of BHD being second only to 9/11 in sparking initial interest in regiment/jsoc
wouldn't shock me if true

I understand. It seems to be very realistic, and if I ever had actual combat experience, would probably shy away as well.
I am truly jealous of the Rangers who partook in that fight. I am former infantry and those guys are legends. I've seen combat and still would have loved to stand shoulder to shoulder with them. Yes I know it's a strange POV.
In the other hand, I am now a Blackhawk pilot and that aspect of the whole event is terrifying. We have limited protection and no margin for errors. Our mistakes and the enemy are unforgiving.

MSG Gordon played by Jaime Lannister

Two Delta Force snipers, SFC Randy Shughart and MSG Gary Gordon.
I have read that Delta guys are not the rah rah, brash type. They are cool, calm, collected, yet lethal. I think those attributes are present in this photo of those two American heroes.

The movie is harrowing experience, however, I don't think I've seen a modern warfare movie come close to it other than Hurt Locker or ZD30.
Ridley Scott did fine work.

Zero Dark 30 was great. Hurt Locker was the most unrealistic bullshite ever.

That's how I am with We Were Soldiers. I watched it a couple of times then saw with my dad who was in the Air Cav in Vietnam. He said it was the most realistic war movie to his experience and since I can't watch it
