Driving Away

quote:

A suburban Dallas police chief acknowledged that an officer who fatally shot a black 15-year-old in a moving vehicle fired as the car was driving away -- not as it reversed toward officers, as the department had previously asserted.

Officers shot three times into a car of teens driving away from a party after the cops were called to respond to "underage drinking".

Cop is absolutely fricked. As he should be.

ETA: Officer fired

He Gone...

Hopefully he's charged.

And hopefully a BLM terrorist won't attack the cops again.

Comments from the deceased kid's friends and friends' parents make it seem like they understand how these things work, and are making a point to distance him from prior cases.

Sort of "I know what you're thinking, but he really was a good kid, he was not a thug."

His past has nothing to do with the fact he was executed for underage drinking

Even if the car was backing up, you can't just cavalierly fire at a vehicle especially when you have no idea who is in the vehicle. frick that cop if that's what it turns out to be.

There does seem to be quite a bit of "contradictions" from the departments when these situations occur. Exactly why those cameras should be rolling constantly.

Are we really going to attack the character of a 15 year old?

Wait so he just dumped bullets into a car that was driving away? Didn't even call for backup?

i think in some situations it's proper

the point is that in THIS situation, it's not a "dindu" scenario. this actually was a good kid

it's all the trash who try to make their POS kids out to be saints who ruin the names of the victims like this kid

THIS is a "dindu" story LINK

Even children have character. So, they get a pass for most things. But it's a fair standard.

Of course, a cop shooting into a fleeing car has nothing to do with character. Or race. He didn't know who was in the car. Black or white, rich or poor, young or old. He committed manslaughter, or at the very least, reckless endangerment. In Mississippi we actually have a crime called "depraved heart murder". Which more or less means you acted in complete disregard for another person's safety, leading to their death. That fits, as do other crimes. This cop is going to jail.

ETA

quote:

In United States law, depraved-heart murder, also known as depraved-indifference murder, is an action where a defendant acts with a "depraved indifference" to human life and where such act results in a death. In a depraved-heart murder, defendants commit an act even though they know their act runs an unusually high risk of causing death or serious bodily harm to someone else. If the risk of death or bodily harm is great enough, ignoring it demonstrates a "depraved indifference" to human life and the resulting death is considered to have been committed with malice aforethought. In some states, depraved-heart killings constitute second-degree murder, while in others, the act would be charged with varying degrees of manslaughter. If no death results, such an act would generally constitute reckless endangerment (sometimes known as "culpable negligence") and possibly other crimes, such as assault.
