This is one of the bigger remaining long term priorities is to resign Vaccaro. His 2017 5th year option is 5.6 million roughly. There's a pretty big difference in elite strong safety salaries. Reshad Jones with Dolphins just got paid 12 mill a year average and then next down is Tony Jefferson near 8.5 million then a bunch from 6-7.

I'm thinking the number will likely need be very close or maybe slightly more than the 8.5 number. So say we do a 4 yr extension around 8.75 putting close to 35 million, add his 1 year 5.6 million we have him by the balls so that's around a 5 year 40-41 million dollar extension. Whatever guaranteed and bla bla bla.

Two remaining notes: Malcom Jenkins is at 8.75 and Saints paid byrd few years ago about 9 mill a year.

I'm hoping Bell steps up and we don't resign him honestly.

I keep hearing about how good Vaccaro is, but he seems to always get hurt at the wrong time and creates no turnovers.

I'd let the season play out.

If Bell and Williams look really promising, I probably let him walk.

KV is not a lock to me at this point to pay out the big long term contract.

If he can repeat last year, I'd like to take a look at him. If he's the old vaccaro let him walk

Prove it deal this year. I haven't been a fan of KV since his rookie season. I think he's a very average player to above average. He played well at times last year but he's not worth the numbers you're throwing in there, IMO.
