Not too far fetched? Tragic life events can push people to break mentally. Push them to antidepressants or drinking or pain pills.

Well where are these murders occurring?

Id be willing to bet the majority of them arent around the flooded areas.

Why not? Monuments cause them in New Orleans.

I wonder what the murder rate was from September to December of last year compared to the previous year.

Looks like we're back to the 90's. 20-25 years ago things were really bad.

Should be fairly easy to check any correlation between the culprits and flood effects. My money is that there is no direct correlation. Just BR getting worse and worse....But have no fear, Madam Broome will fix all that!

I'm pretty sure the poorest areas of North Baton Rouge got hit almost as hard as Livingston.

is there any site that has accumulated stats on murders for ASENSION AND LIVINGSTON PARISH?
I bet both combined are 1/8th the EBR murder rate.

Don't worry Baton Rouge, Sharon Weston Broome has it all under control. She, along with her good buddies C. Denise Marcelle, Gravy Chambers, and good ole Silky Slim will soon be selecting a new police chief.

The fact that her police advisory council contains at least 2 obvious racists and a former gang member is so laughable that it's just pathetic.

I'd imagine the meth usage is up around that much

But Touché. I was just playing Devils advocate.

Drug usage on the other hand....
