What a horrible idea this is. John Candy was great in the original and it's an 80's classic. Didn't they learn anything from the last Vacation movie. I'm so sick of remakes, they need to just leave 80's movies alone.

It cost 30 mil to make and made 100 so they probably did. Hart is way more bankable than Ed Helms so they'll be fine.

Yeah, earnings aside, I stopped watching after about the first 1/3. Just unwatchable.

For all the good stuff out there like Breaking Bad, GoT, Sopranos Hollywood sure does put out mostly remake crap.

Meh...this sounds like just a movie about black family in woods. I doubt the movies remotely mirror each other.
About the only idea they will probably keep from the original is the mistaken house identity - but now reversed.
The Kevin Hart family will show up to "their rental" and white people will come home, call the police, freak out, etc.
Just like the last Vacation didn't really turn out to be a remake despite the names...that movie had no whiff of the originals...and frankly had no real connection or similar sense of humor.
This movie will be a loose remake and nothing more than just taking an idea.

What a stupid idea. Everyone knows blacks dont go camping in the woods.
