Furthermore, the Curry 3 just failed. So this is a bad time for BBall shoe deals.
Nike is and always will be the top dog when it comes to shoes. Their overall design and performance is leaps and bounds better than anyone. With exception to some of the running footwear.
Under Amour is struggling with shoes from what I've seen. I am a shoe hoarder, and I have maybe seen a few pairs of UA's that I'd wear. That's it. I have not seen one single pair of bball shoes that I would buy if I were still playing. They are mostly all ugly as frick. So Curry's shoes not selling well is no surprise considering they are ugly.
UA does make some nice looking cleats though.
Adidas, well adidas just sucks all the way around. Their apparel lines are just terrible. There isn't anything about Adidas that I like.

I'd be surprised if you seen Tiger or Lebron ever get their own brand. Tiger is finished being the face of golf, Lebron, i just don't believe there is anything iconic enough to warrant his own brand. Best player in the world? Yes, but there will be a new one in the next 10-15 years. Everyone knows Jordan's history with Nike, and the worldwide exposure he brought to the NBA and Nike. That's why he has his own brand, and that's why peole are still rioting to get their hands on Jordan's when they are released.

LOL if you think how he played the card was wrong and not the entire game he played then you just as ignorant. What Lavar Ball know about anything that makes you put any faith in any idea he has proposed so far?
Settle down Shakespeare.

I actually like their running shoes.

They should make the 2K18 my career modeled after the Ball family.
They can have the zany dad whose always in the player's business trying to control everything. Meanwhile, your character would look just like Lonzo by default if you don't edit anything. Would be a good fit.

He is so far removed from reality.

Forgot about that. If the 2nd biggest star in basketball, and most popular player amongst kids, of all races, can't sell shoes, what the duck makes those company thinks lonzo and his crazy dad will sell?

I would usually be talking so much shite about this guy, but for some reason I can't get past some things he may be right on.
He is correct that the shoe companies are reacting this way because his model is a threat to their model.
He seems to care about his kids.
I'm still on the dad's side right now. That's likely to change, but not for now.

they are reacting that way because they have ALL of the leverage and have zero incentive to do what Ball wants. It's not like they did anything malicious to the kid. They just told him to frick off because his dad is a goddamn retard

If he cared about his kids he wouldn't stand in the way of them making millions for his own personal gain

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the board room after Lavar left and the execs were discussing the deal.
You think they discussed the deal?

LeBron has a nearly billion dollar deal right now with Nike, so yes.

Where are all the posters who have been saying Lavar is a genius and knows what he's doing?

The new model is giving a one and done with no stratospheric hype around him and two potentials still in high school a billion dollars? I can see why they are resisting this new model.

Not enough to know you need to not dictate their life.

If you haven't already, I don't know what else he would do to push you over.
