I predict we get at least one of these names tomorrow in the 2nd.

I prefer Jordan Willis because he doesn't have any character issues (Tim Williams, Malik McDowell) or injury concerns (Carl Lawson).

However, I think from a talent perspective, all are graded in the 1st round.

No matter who is called, someone will melt over the pick

Willis would be a really nice pickup, but I'd be pleased with Lawson too. Don't really want Williams/McDowell. Also some edge guys in the third round.

And yeah I think it's safe to say rlmndr's grey matter will melt tomorrow if it hasn't already.

A lot of saints fans are dumb. People are actually saying we should've picked Tre White over Lattimore. Another one is we should've reached on a pass rusher instead of drafting a position that we use now and will really need next year.

There's always going to be those people. Never a good thing to be fixated on one player. Especially, one that is rated in the 60's of nearly every scout's big board

Not williams.

A pot addicted functional retard isn't what we need.

Don't want Williams at ALL. He's a one down player.

Lawson scares the hell out of me with injury concerns and I don't know how he will hold in the NFL.

Will probably be gone by 42

Should've been gone by now. If he makes it to 42 it would be fantastic.

Would you be complaining about picking a DE at 32? Would you be mad that they didn't pick an OT?

Only LSU homers would take White over Lattimore

McDowell is my personal fav but I would've liked Willis at 32 as well.

I won't be mad, but we knew they were gonna draft a tackle in the draft, and getting the best one at 32 is a steal to me.

Unless McDowell can lose 50lbs and play Olb, why would we continue to hoard interior d linemen when we need pretty much everything else?

I don't think that McDowell fits our needs. I see him inside as a DT.

We have Rankins, Fairley, Davison and Onyemata.

Heh? We have zero depth on the o line.

Unless you consider senio kelemente playing 5 positions "depth".

and this pick does nothing to help with "depth"... this guy is being drafted for 1 reason and 1 reason only... to replace Strief, which does need to be done at some point, but i don't think that it needs to be done THIS year... unless you are already a contender, you don't use your 1st round pick for "depth"...

Strief is coming off a season where he only gave up 3 sacks in 659 passing snaps... so naturally we want to draft a guy to replace one of our more solid positions, while our nonexistent pass rush is neglected....

At least we got the boring pick out of the way. So we don't have to worry about it in next years draft
