If this site existed in 1983, Dalton's thighs would have been more legendary than Keiland Williams' calves.

Sorry to hi-jack but all this Dalton talk made me think of Gary James. Whatever happened to him?

First you shorted him an "r"....it's Garry James. Very common mistake.....

And I don't know what became of him.

I always find it a good thing when you Google an old athlete and very little pops up....it usually means that they haven't caused trouble anywhere.

God bless Bishop Ott, also a man of small (physical) stature, who used to say during a homily:

"Mah favorite at-lete is widdle Dalhton Hee-yahhd" .

John Curtis played Patterson High for the state title in 1979. I remember the talk of "Hilliard the record setter, sure fire college star" etc.
We (students) were terrified he'd run for 600 yards against us and we'd lose 64-0!!
Curtis won 28-0. Don't know how many yards Hilliard got!
Loved watching him play at LSU and NOLA.

Eric Martin lives here in Sugarland, tx, just southwest of houston. He goes to all the LSU football games.

Grew up with the Hilliard crew. His sister married an Olivier, older sister. They had a son Johnny, strongest man in the world at 19 yrs old (132 pounds)
The whole family is crazy athletic. Good folks

Tell Dalton next time you see him that they really shafted him on Tecmo Bowl

Christian Okoye had nothing on him

Saw Dalton Hilliard play for Patterson high school, just up the road from Berwick when he was a sophomore in HS. Though Berwick was not good, he stood out, also as a defensive back. Tried to get Alabama to recruit him.

I grew up and played at Patterson and Dalton for sure set a standard for us younger players. Was always a great guy and I played with Kenny! Talk about blood line !!!

What can you say about these two Tigers and Saint players. Hilliard was truely one of the greatest LSU Tigers ever. Martin caught everything including a remarkable amount of passes in the middle of the field taking big time shots. He got up every time. These are two Tiger greats in every way. I consider Dalton the best LSU back of all time. Dalton was impossible to tackle one on one. He had a very good pro career as did Eric Martin.

Dalton's legs. Yep, i saw them when he was wearing nothing in the jubilant LSU locker room after the Tigers beat Bama in Birmingham 20-10 in 1982. That was a great victory and I was able to see the team celebrate because my late friend Jack Serio got me in. Dalton legs were nothing I have ever seen before or after. Remember guys, Hall of famer Ronnie Lott said "Dalton Hilliard was the hardest running back to tackle" Dalton is just one of the great athletes from this exceptional Louisiana family.

If TD had been around in 1982 Dalton's thighs would have kept us from ever hearing about Kielands calves.
