In fairness, they seem to be addressing a major problem today.
Cutting salary money isn't fixing their current programming strategies.

But does anyone actually watch soccer. Seems like they cover it far more than hockey
They air more soccer games than hockey games. For someone who says they work in the business it seems like you'd understand that ESPN isn't making money off of sports that they don't have the rights to air.

i like ed werder. that's a shame. they are many other "personalities" i would have liked to have seen get canned before him.

Role "significantly reduced." It is only a matter of time. Russilo has no hot takes, and he calls ESPN out when they are being biased. His time is near

Did you know ESPN rating are declining, so perhaps they should consider that their current strategies aren't working.
Looks like they're addressing that right now.

On his last day Thursday he said it's something that "just came up" and also mentioned something about house hunting. Idk if these two instances correlate but reading the tea leaves and Danny's cryptic tweet...something is unfortunately up.
IF they get rid of his radio show it would be the biggest holy frick moment espn could do. Outside of canning SVP which wont happen.

Bucci is a hockey guy too

Wow...I caught him the other night after an NBA game. Dude has that old school SC talent. He'll be picked up immediately.

Damn, Hockey is getting phased out of ESPN.

I don't have specific dates of their decline compared to current direction. I'm open to looking at numbers.

None of these cuts mean anything if they don't fire retards like Stephen A and Max Kellerman.
And race baiters like Jemele Hill

Russillo has made it clear he wants to move to LA but he just re-upped his deal so i doubt he is going anywhere. Not sure what the "significantly reduced role" is about because Russillo, Storm and Ravitch are under contract. Use them or dont, you are still going to pay them.
Some of the people being let go arent actually being laid off, they just wont have their contracts re-newed or are being bought out. The people to feel empathy towards are the at will employees that are being laid off with just a severance but live in the Bristol area. Lose your job AND have to move to get another job is going to really suck.
I got laid off in Houston but I found another job in Houston, WTF do these ESPN people do? Going to have sell their house, uproot their family etc.
