Super fluke in albino color. Looks like a shad, bass always eat shad, so it works.

Once the water is over 60 degrees it's a black Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect Frog. For any water cooler than that it's a sqarebill crankbait!

June bug Senko, weightless...with black rage tail craws right behind that, 1/8 oz Texas rigged.

I don't enjoy spinnerbaits, and I'm horrible at cranks. Really need more practice with them.

Are those helicopter lures? I remember my grandfather buying some iff tv after his friend convinced him when I was a kid.

He hated those baits. never caught a fish on them.

I try not to have a go to. I base what I throw off of the time of the year and water temp. I base the color off of the water clarity. If I were picking one for the rest of my life though- 6" Black lizard w/blue tail on 3/0 Gamakastu Offset shank EWG with a pegged 1/16 ounce weight.

Me either that's why I listed so many things

Water color is more important than temp; dark water = dark colors & clearer water = lighter colors.

The key is DON'T get married to 1 color or bait. Most of us have a lot of baits, switch up if you're not having luck.

Not where I fish. Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn and Caddo majority of the time. The temperature determines where the fish are, which will in turn determine what the hatch is.

I know on the color side man. That's why I said I let clarity determine color. Personally
dark water = Black/Blue
Clear water = natural colors to me

My go to has been a sweet beaver for the last several years. Seems to get a bite when nothing else will for me.

I'm not disputing this; the warmer the temps the deeper the fish & vice versa but water color dictates what they see as real or think is real

Clear water = natural colors to me

Yeah we're there

I'll add that in dirty water I try to use baits that make noise or vibration. When the water is muddy I'll try to target shallow water with a topwater bait like a black popping frog or a black buzzbait. If that don't work I'll go with a black and blue rage craw.
