Do you think the Pels win more games this season with Cheick Diallo in the lineup the whole year?

He's played great in these past few games, and I think before the Boogie trade he would have had a huge impact in our front court. Or did he need the time in the D-League to hone his skills some more?

I know one thing, I'm pumped for him next season! Dell, don't do anything stupid! Please!!

I don't know about this year but yes I agree I think he could very well be a diamond in the ruff.

Diallo still too undercooked to make any impact in the league. He could use another year packing face with red beans & rice or taking on Boogies diet. He looked like Noah Vonleh's little brother last night.
I don't trust his "improved" jumper or offensive skill yet. Only thing he can immediately contribute with is a help side defender to get a couple blocks a game. Summer league should tell but he should only get about 8 minutes or so burn next year.

He has the perfect frame and game for a backup in this league. He will be a force as a hustling rebounder and defender next year. He could use a little beef, but you can tell from the last 2 games what kind of player he can become. He's pretty good around the rim as well. He just needs some reps for gods sake.

90% chance Demps will deal him this offseason. He will prob package him our early 2nd rounder and Moore for a starting 2 or 3. I'd rather keep him, just don't see Demps investing long term in any more project players.

I'd bet on that.

I'd rather a good starting 2 or 3, than Moore, Diallo, and a second rounder. But it would be nice to see a player develop outside of CP3, West, and AD in the last 10+ years.
Diallo is a skinnier Faried. Love his energy, but he's not going to make much of a difference on this team.

I think I heard during the Lakers game either Joel or David said that Diallo is supposed to work with AD and Cousins in the off season. If that is true, that will really help him.

I wouldn't say he won't make much of a difference, those players are good to have, but you pretty much always give up bench players if it gets you a good starter.

not disagreeing. This is a very realistic idea. However, if we exclude the what-ifs, I can see him being the back-up big man in the near future. Maybe not immediately next year, but not too far away.

I wanna see him progress in summer league and preseason.

I definitely wish that he had eaten into a decent chunk of TJ and Motie's minutes. Dude averaged 12/12 in 27mpg over his last three games. He made some great plays on defense to go along with some kind of boneheaded plays. That's to be expected from a guy that barely played in college, but you need to let him play to learn. And he should have played ~35mpg once we were eliminated from the playoffs.

I'd much rather keep him over trading him. I know that Pels fans have high expectations for him, but I don't know if he's going to really help swing a trade for a big upgrade. If the Suns are thinking about Bledsoe for Moore + unprotected 18/19 pick, I don't think that they say no if we refuse to include Diallo.
