The Day of the Sun will be a great day to Humiliate the leaders and people of the DPRK.

Kim Il-sung's birthday, which had been an official holiday since 1968, was renamed Day of the Sun in 1997, three years after his death. The name takes its significance from the name of the leader. Il-sung is Korean for "become the Sun".
Foreshadowing?

Woken up before dawn and told to prepare for a 'big event.' Even our North Korean minders don't know where we're going or what we are seeing

I kind of want to drive around Pyongyang or that one city in Burma/Myanmar they went to on Top Gear, it'd be crazy.

anyone know the significance of the reporters not allowed to take a lighter?
Posted on 4/12/17 at 6:59 pm to _Hurricane_
He will probably show it off to the world and throw threats at the world about how he will reak havoc if anyone messes with them. A couple of days of bluster and build up to the event.

sounds like reporter hostages, to me. Park 'em with his nuke and dare anyone to go after his prize toy.

How did they get that nice car and the new vans and busses in there? I thought that stuff wasn't allowed to be sold to DPRK?
