We don't want him to touch Roe or gay marriage.

Just uphold the Muslim ban and we're good.

Why in the hell would any conservative want Roe v Wade overturned without a moments thought to the possible consequences of it?

And who gives a shite about gay marriage honestly?

It isn't a Muslim ban. And it won't last anyway.

I feel like a lot of my fellow conservatives need that band aid pulled off sooner rather than later. Hate abortion all your want, Roe v. Wade is never getting overturned.

I think most conservatives have already given up on Obergefell, but go ahead and chalk that up too.

Trump said a lot of things.

I know and I agree. I'm talking about the campaign promises made and broken.

I take no responsibility for anyone believing anything that came out of Trump's mouth.

It's almost like certain posters in here can't understand the idea of keeping your religious beliefs separate from your legal decisions.

I think that says more about them than it does Gorsuch.

You sound like a miserable unaccepting human being. Have you ever ventured outside your little box?

That's a campaign promise that you should hope would be broken.

Roe v Wade being overturned in times like this with 3rd wave feminists and a hyper aggressive partisan democratic party that treats reproductive issues like GOP with guns would be an absolutely devastating biblical nightmare to deal with.

He also has a female pastor. He's an usher there.

Liberal Episcopalians are some of the most liberal Christians in America. They believe in government solutions for poverty, are pro-choice, pro-gay rights, pro-female priesthood, etc.

This is the church Gorsuch is a member of. Seriously.

How was this not bigger news? Why weren't conservatives up in arms about this? He won't touch Roe or Obergefell. We'll get some Conservative opinions out of him, but he'll become a swing vote - hardly a replacement for Scalia.

Unreal.

Yeah, with a 20 trillion dollar national debt, unfunded future entitlement liabilities, and geopolitical timebomb in Syria, we should focus on the gays getting married.

Is this where I say "amen?"

You get it. Only time will weed out these people who are set in their old ways. If only it would happen faster!

It would be an interesting study in winning a battle to lose the war.

I think a lot conservative women voters would go batshit over it.

At least abortion harms someone. Any "conservative" who thinks gay marriage should be illegal at this point needs to give up that title. I would prefer government out of marriage entirely, but this is smaller government than we had.

I don't remember overturning Roe being a campaign promise. All I heard was he wanted to appoint judges with respect to life and that sort of thing. Never once heard him say once he became president he would make abortions illegal.

Roe v Wade being overturned

Technically, overturning Roe v Wade does nothing. The current law is Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

I know, I'm that guy.

Episcopals aren't real Christians. It's like barney the purple dinosaur started a weird offshoot of Catholicism
