ETA I can echo nurse's comments. Miss food and family the most but quality of life is what you make of it. Good luck.

Gracias, got some friends up there and they say good things and we've visited and enjoyed it. They mostly rave about the schools which is my main concern. Just gonna be weird moving with the family and getting them adjusted and shite, I moved around in my younger days but never with the baggage. So maybe nurse wasn't the best feedback since she hates children.....

I've never moved with kids but have moved schools. If the kids are young, they will get over it pretty quick. Might be tougher if you have teenagers. You gotta do what's best for your family and they will understand in the long run.

You mentioned better schools. I'll add that to my list of things that make life better. Public schools that are actually good is a great thing to benefit from.

North east is a liberal country. Dont allow those bastards to turn your kids into participation prizes.

Dont know you but have seen you post quite often. I moved out 30 years ago but am back in state. Just a different spot. Most everything sucks in this state except people, food and hunting. Good luck and have a safe trip.
