People, use charcoal. Any drug store has it in powder form. Just mix it with water. My daughter that is a Vet has treated 7 cases of sago palm so far this year. 
And yes, that shite will kill a dog in a heart beat. So, if you have a dog, DON'T plant sago palms.

Was unaware of powder form of charcoal. Hydrogen peroxide seemed to work fine.

Had one in my backyard in the house I moved into last year. My girlfriend started bringing her golden around and I dug the whole thing up and threw it out. You'd be surprised how deep that main bulb goes into the ground - was a pain in the arse!
