After reading multiple news sites it is obvious now that this strike was meant as an attempt to help reverse the tide in Syria over the last couple of months.

What we have seen in the last couple of months is Syria and Russia winning the war against the opposition rebels and ISIS through the Kurds in the North with help from American coalition forces.

Recently Rebels have cried for help as they were being defeated in Aleppo and elsewhere.

How far will we go to give these rebels the chance to turn the tide back in their favor? How can they win when Russia is operating out of multiple sites on the ground in Syria themselves?

There seems no logical end to this except full out confrontation by allied forces against syrian forces helped by Iran and Russia.

Little pop-shots won't turn the tide in the Rebels favor when Russia has such a stronghold within Syria on the ground.

I don't see the logic to firing at this airbase just because they may have used chemical weapons. If it was a military maneuver it would be done with some type of benefit to the troops on the ground fighting.

Then it was a massive failure.

McCain has stated that he sees room for more U.S. action and his buddy LG said he wants to take out Assad's air force. Drain the swamp or something...

give these rebels the chance

Hurting Assad helps the rebels we like, and it also helps ISIS & AQ.

I watch Fox, CNN and NBC. I read a lot from prominent journalists and analysts from around the globe. I've yet to read any kind of logical end game that is really a win for the US in Syria.
