Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer model # FGHS2631PF4A.

Last night the inside of the freezer was covered in ice crystals, this morning everything is melted and there is water on the floor.

Refrigerator feels like it is getting a little warm also. Current freezer temp 48, refrigerator 35.

I can still hear what I assume is a fan running in the freezer

Your freezer isn't cold enough. It needs to be 32 degrees F or less to keep things frozen.

I'm betting it is the mechanism that controls the defrost cycle for the freezer. It could be shot which would mean a replacement but it could also just be stuck. Until the expert gets here, try this:

Unplug the appliance for about 2 minutes and then plug it back in. That MAY reset the defrost cycle and allow it to start cooling again.

My advice is too start cooking food and worry about the refrigerator later because its broken and your food will spoil by the time a new refrigerator is delivered.

Ice crystals signals moisture, which could come from door being ajar. You sure it was closed tightly?

That was my first thought last night, that one of the kids left it cracked, but I made sure it was closed good before I went to bed.

Im reading that it might be the defrost sensor that is frozen up. Looks like I need to pull the panel and thaw the coil and sensor with a hair dryer or something
