Watch James Spann walk a mile in the snow and apologize for his Snowpocalypse 2014 forecast 'bust'

"I guess this is the price you pay for probably one of the worst forecast busts in a 35-year career," Spann says in the video. "I am walking to the TV station. We are in total gridlock, and nobody can come up the hill. . .

Spann took the heat, and in a lengthy apology on his weather blog the next day, he said the criticism was well-deserved, calling it his "most significant forecast bust"

Yeah the weather looks really dark, but it doesn't appear to be making a tornado.
The one coming up form South that's supposed to hit here late afternoon looks a lot more concerning

I live right downtown and it began to hail for a little bit. Don't see/hear any at this moment

Yeah, I just had a little pea-sized hail where I'm at in Columbia. Not a ton though.
Posted on 4/5/17 at 1:26 pm to usctarheel19
Check that, now it is hailing very heavily

Might be an area of concern just south of Columbia near I-77/I-26 interchange.
