Yesterday, we ordered a large shrimp poboy (approximately a foot long?) from a place in Alexandria for $9. My BF opened his up to add hot sauce and found a total of seven and a half shrimp (smallish to med size shrimp) on the entire poboy. Nowhere near enough to cover the bread.

WTF, is this even normal? They were not large shrimp. Usually when we order a shrimp poboy, there are enough to have some falling off. I called the place today to ask how many shrimp should be on one of their foot long poboys and they said "8".

Is this what you expect when you order a shrimp poboy? 8 freaking small shrimp?? Would you be pissed if you got a shrimp poboy like this? They offered s off about $3 if we ordered again and we said " no thanks".

More details if interested. Here is a breakdown on the cost of the total bill. We also got a :
Fried shrimp poboy.......$9
Large roast beef for..... $8
Onion "petals..............$4
Delivery charge...........$5
Tip- approx 30%.......... $6
GRAND TOTAL= ......... $34)

Buy a small from Guy's in NOLA, eat for lunch and dinner. Win/win.

No specific number but they should be falling out of the poboy.

I wouldn't order fried seafood poboys for delivery. Nothing like steaming the seafood for 20 minutes to be soggy when opened

If you can't afford poboys, go to Taco Bell.

It should be at least four levels of shrimp deep and spilling out then you have to sit on it to try to smash it down to eat it.

I would imagine large shrimp poboy meant a full not a half size poboy rather than actual large shrimp? Also good lord you sound anal.
