Not they are actually worse than most monopolies. They get all the upside and minimal regulation.
Rolling back regs at the federal level while competition stifling rules in place at the local/state level is g onna be a disaster.

If any of you actually support this then I hope you're the first ones to have your internet speed throttled while streaming Netflix. This can only end badly. Internet service providers only want to make more money and don't care about you.

These politicians are engaging in a proxy war vs American ppl.
If you don't think they are butt hurt & pissed about the trump vote message "getting rid of their asses" (swamp), here's a dose of reality-- its payback time for them & it blows

When did customers ask for data caps?
Slow speeds?
And terrible pricing?
One, or both of you, is dead wrong

No we are both right
ISPs give out some bullsht lie that the reasons data caps are in place are bc there isn't enough bandwidth.
If you like someone telling you how much internet you can use, then you a nuts.
How can you keep being wrong over and over about the internet?

Above obvious cost cutting reasons they can engage in because of little or no competition, its a cute way of forcing people into the cable TV clusterfrick and sticks a knife into the cord cutters and the market that was emerging from it that were finding workarounds to the bloated oligopoly they have set up to drain consumers.

Cool. This will expediate their demise. Offering only a shitty product is the best way to hasten your obsolescence.

But, with ISPs being able to sell ads, and bill the data hogs, you might see more ISPs enter the market?
Given the absurd infrastructure obstacles possibly but not likely.
One last thought on this- Has anyone actually looked at ISPs outside of the US- its sad how behind we are in price and speed.

Maybe if this was a perfectly competitive marketplace. But this an incredibly corrupted, distorted oligopoly market and this looming move and the anti-consumer, anti-privacy, pro-ISP bill shows just how strong their grasp is on the political system to continue propping themselves up.

This needs to happen. Good for Trump.

Want to see shitty expensive internet with Data caps- Look at Alaska.

So I take it you enjoy inferior quality internet, with data limits all while being over priced.

The place i just moved to in Oklahoma is just as bad.
There is only one player in town which is Cable One. At first you look at some of the prices and think not bad. 100 down for $35 a month then $55 after three months. But here is the catch, that plan has a 300GB data cap
Say you want their 1TB data cap. Well you have to sign up for their gig down plan at $175 a month. That is absurd.

My internet is worse since net neutrality.

Net neutrality makes data limits illegal while capping prices? Who knew?

I don't disagree, and all those reasons just make me more correct.

what??? how so?
NN would take out local monopolies in areas an increase competition. Thus increasing quality of service.

Net neutrality makes data limits illegal while capping prices? Who knew?
The increased competition would force ISPs to ditch data caps bc if they keep them, then customers would leave. More competition means a better price point. This isn't hard to understand.
If you have a choice b/w Fios, Google Fiber both of which have no cap and Comcast crappy cable with a data cap. Who are you going to choose.
Also bc of NN, the FCC has forced charter not to enforce data limits bc of their purchase of time warner and brighthouse.
