I have gotten several quotes ranging from $1700 to $3500 to get it all dug up. Just moved into the house a few months ago, so just going to try and manage it a bit for now.

Then just cut it at the ground and spray roundup as it sprouts or mow it (sprouts).

Actually, it will. It will take a number of sequential applications, but you will eventually exhaust the rhizomes if you continue to let it sprout, spray, wait till it dies then mow.

pm me. I'll get you the contact info of someone who I feel certain would be much less expensive. I use him for all of my dirt work.

I had about a 50 square ft area of it. I cut it as low as I could. I chopped up the ground removing what I could get out. I poured lots of rock salt over the entire area and wet it. It never came back.

I responded to his post saying for now, he would just manage it, and manage it, it will, doing what I said.

I deal with it all the time. Just cut 4 20ft car hauler trailer full of it.

You want it gone? Get you some big arse tarps, bricks, pole saw.

Cut as low to the ground as possible. When that's done cover the area with a tarp(s). Leave for months. Kill anything that pops up around it. You may have to pull tarp back and cut new growth.

Once the rhizomes run out of energy from lack of sun they old bamboo is much easier to extract/cut low/burn.

This method takes patience but does work. I've reclaimed about 6 ft x 20 ft from my neighbors overgrowth. Enough to gravel and use as a space for a trailer, etc
