Then blame spring breakers from the '80 and '90s.
Kids arent doing much more than has always been done.

It seems like a lot of beaches, even the non traditional Spring Break places are banning alcohol now. I was over in Clearwater Beach yesterday and noticed they had big signs indicating that alcohol was banned on the beach. I don't ever remember seeing that in other months so it could just be for Spring Break season.

probably taking proactive measures not to turn into PCB; I'm sure South Padre will do something about if after the season ends

They move around from town to town. If it gets to rowdy in place A laws are passed to move them along to place B. Then rinse and repeat. Its going on right now in Panama City Fl and Gulf Shores Al.

It's one thing to bemoan the culture overall. Or to complain about how trashy it is for the areas affected.
But Hannity's hell in a handbasket routine on Spring Break is one of the highlights of spring, IMO.

Anyone here go on spring break in the 80s? That shite seemed just as wild then as it is today.

What is the end game though? I mean unless colleges just axe Spring Break all together it's always going to be a losing battle. Like you said one place bans it they'll go somewhere else.
Maybe we need to make some sort of resort beach that caters just to Spring Breakers during that season. Get a 5 mile stretch of beachside land somewhere in the middle of nowhere Florida (going towards the St. Marks/Big Bend area) and built like 5 mega resorts, each having 2,000 rooms. All the others months they can be catered to families but during March partner with the universities and have them be Spring Break resorts. This would let the Spring Breakers get hammered but be isolated from major cities and the general public.
I do agree that cities are starting to do as a preventative measure before it gets out of control.
The Hannity segments are funny though Hannity does come off as a "get off my lawn" geezer in the segments.

And the Spring Breakers obviously vary. Not sure what the solution is, as I'm sure the shitty beaches want to not be shitty anymore and won't just accept their place as a Spring Break destination which is already crappy and which can therefore be crapped on further.
We thought it would be cool to try to relive 90s MTV spring breaks when I was in college by going to places like Daytona and South Padre (spoiler: it wasn't cool at all). I mean, we had fun, but those places suck anyway and the people attracted to them (other than people like us, for novelty) were terrible.
But, it was also cool to go to 30-A and the Bahamas for Spring Break at SEC schools when I was in college, and while we all got kicked out of our houses and acted like tools, it's not like we were having rap concerts on the beach and setting shite on fire.
Some areas will continue to see the $$$ and find a way to coexist with SBers.

Ask them. If the business owners want to cater to them, thats their perogative.
Why do we need a nanny state making these decisions?

I went to Destin and Gulf Shores for Spring Break. The "craziest" thing on the beach during the day would be people funneling beer or whiskey or shotgunning beer. Not really any fights and trash was usually taken care of. It seems like it's certain schools/classes of people who frick up these beaches and not all college kids. I also highly doubt that business owners are happy about this as per the posters on the first page. Losing people who pay for condos/hotels/booze/food/etc. for weeks at a time would be a massive hit. Families are not vacationing at the beach in big numbers during March or April.

Hannity apparently has a warped view of society. Spring break is sort of a ceremonial rite.
