A vote against AHCA is a vote for Obamacare.

If AHCA goes down in flames, it will represent a yuge win for Obama and the Democrats.
And I have news for all the MUH PRINCIPLES TruCons: if AHCA fails, you now own Obamacare. It will forever after be known as TruConCare. The health policy for guys who love fiscal conservatism so much they became de facto allies to the Democrats.
This is reality, folks.

The fact of the matter is, if Republicans do not pass this bill, there will never be enough political capital to do repeal and replace ever again. Yes, the current bill sucks. But the alternative is to live with Obama care forever. They will not be a second go at this with a more conservative Bill. There will not be a second go with this at all.

I'm a far lefty but if the GOP rushes a shitty bill it will do more damage to them in the long run.

Actually, this is a very difficult industry to regulate to the point of being able to predict the outcome. Whatever the Republicans do, they should also be open to continuously adjusting the system to close loop holes and achieve balance.
They don't have to repeal the existing law to do that. They can make the kind of adjustments which will make it viable, such as opening up marketing across state lines, restructuring prescription drug issues, etc.
Trump is flat wrong to require a reckless vote as a loyalty test.
