I never saw the interview for context, but when I read his statement below:
I thought he was saying that if he didn't agree what the Hollywood loons believed, they would refer to you as '30s Germany. I must have processed that wrong. Didn't care enough to watch the interview.
The OP is dead on correct, however. It really and truly is disgusting the double standard at play here, but not surprising. These are Progressives.

Did Tim Allen even mention the Holocaust? If not, why is the Anne Frank Center weighing in on being offended? In fact, he specifically said the 30s, a time period that pretty much pre-dates the Holocaust. NAZI Germany wasn't a union of prison guards contracted out to run extermination camps. They did many things. In the 1930's, they silenced their political opponents with fascist tactics. That is obviously what Tim Allen is talking about. Not the gas chambers.
