My uncle had the Compaq version of that one.

My first one was a Commodore 64 with a tape drive. Upgrading to the disk drive was a big day.

Had some of those in 4th grade, playing Oregon Trail.

Had a Tandy from Radio Shack at home as a kid.

Played Jordan Vs Bird on it in Jr High (late 80s or early 90s I guess?)

I had a Tandy sx1000 with the dual floppy drives. That desktop II software was a PITA. 14.4 modem

A buddy had IBM PC jr with a modem that you had to dial the phone and cradle the receiver in the modem to connect. At least my modem just hooked straight up to the phone line.

The green screens that I was referring to with Oregon Trail in 4th grade were Apple computers.

I don't know about Root and Person of Interest. Only watched that show a handful of times.

Could you imagine watching porn on that? There would probably be so much bush and neon, and the girls would be saying things like "tubular", so distracting.

You have died from dysentery.
Can you imagine the backlash from a game like that being played in school today.

My parents gave me a Commodore 64 (64k of memory) back around 1985/6 and that cost a whopping $1,500

The Commodore64 launch price was $600

Well maybe once you add the 1541 drive and monitor.

That's probably not a bad thing. They are certainly less likely to be hacked or infected with viruses, and the controllers aren't likely perusing porn on those venerable old machines.
