5" omgz... 7" vertical difference must be huge then. very marginal differences running around without pads especially for these talents who get down field fast.

Change of direction, ability to stop and start, and explosion edge goes to Howard. This is what these things measure. Fleener is a good athlete, albeit a stiff one.
It's why Fleener always falls down when he catches it or runs in a straight line.

Same way they dealt with Cooks with Snead/Thomas

Andrus Peat's illegitimate brother. Then, insert gun in mouth.

I'm going to put this out here, #Saints fans...Cooks and Ingram had blow ups about numbers and one was traded. Saints looking at backs...
something to chew on.

Jeremiah mock draft 3.0
NFL.com
11. Christian McCaffrey - RB, Stanford: The Saints have holes on the defensive side of the ball, but selfishly I'd love to see McCaffrey in this system.
32. Mitch Trubisky - QB, North Carolina: The Saints need to start planning for life after Drew Brees, and Trubisky has plenty of upside at the position.
Yikes.

Peyton Mannings verified ball velocity was 36mph
But someone said you need 55 to be elite.
And being off of that magic number by 6 mph isn't omg terrible.
And there are a TON of things that go into making a great QB.
Poise under pressure and desire to win can't be measured by numbers, and Watson showed he has that. As well as being a good actual QB.
Like I said, work on his drops and he'll be at least a good QB at the next level, if not great.
I'll go out on a limb and say he'll at least be better than that kid in Tampa.

I'd pull this trigger and let someone else pick a defensive starter.
That's how much I love the Saints.

Guy is amazing. I think if he remains healthy and motivated he could be one of the greats. He just has "it".

you realize he made that 36 number up, right?

Doesn't matter. My point is people citing that number as some magic metric are fricking tripping. It's a good indicator of velocity but there are SO many more things that go into what makes a good QB.
It was said for a long time that QBs under 6'2" can't play at a high level. We have one that is super elite, and Wilson ain't bad.

Watson cant what?
Look they've been measuring ball velocity since 2008. only 2 guys sub 55mph have been capable NFL starters. Tyrod Taylor(50mph) and Dak(54). Dak was throwing with a hurt shoulder at the combine too.
Only 3 QBs have ever recorded lower than a 49mph. Colt Brennan, Armanti Edwards, and Blake Sims. Great company right there.
Intangibles are great but there are physical thresholds a QB must hit to be successful. More prevalent then any other position. You can have the mind but if you cant make the throws, you're a worthless backup or a low tier starter

why? with data dating back to 2008, do you think it is just coincidental? what is your reasoning?
anyone ok with spending the 11th pick on Watson given the data i just posted is an absolute fool.

There was an article that said Drew brees velocity in college was pretty bad and he improved drastically in NFL with strengthening etc
