My son got hit by the strike in Berlin this past Friday. I had to buy train tickets to Frankfurt and then flights through Brussels to get him back to Italy.
Best of luck with it. It was a complete PITA to deal with last Thursday night.

so I may need someone's help in calling Delta if the outlook doesn't get better. I have no cell service over here and know that Delta has been dealing with the shitshow of a blizzard in NYC.
Any reason you can't call over Skype or similar? Not trying to be a dick in any way, but I've had to do similar in shitty situations while abroad. Just had a nice little chat around midnight the other day with United, while in Manila.

Two things:
1. Delta should have a local number for you to call...they can transfer you to DL call ctr
2. If you can't do that I'm more than happy to call the Medallion Desk for you
side note... seems like there's always an airline strike or two in the EU

Your best bet maybe to try and get Delta to switch you to KLM or Alitalia, or even Czech CSA. And take a train out of Berlin to another city if need be due to the strike at TXL.
Or even Aeroflot if you're feeling adventurous. My understanding is transit passengers in Moscow do not require a visa.
