I mean going off our past history its not good.
However, if we draft impact players on defense that can play well from the get go then we have a decent chance.
Look at this years SB matchup in terms of contributing rookies and players in first three years and you get a picture of what our D needs to accomplish.

Slim, but not just because we have holes all over the roster... winning a Superbowl is damned hard and nobody's chances of winning in a given year are ever really that high. Anything can happen and usually does.

It's simple, lemme calculate...

If the Saints don't go over .500 this year there's a good chance Payton and Drew are gone.
I do think they'll get over the hump. They have to.

1 in 32 x however many seasons he has left.

Not true. This means every NFL team has an equal chance of winning the SB and that's not close to true. The Jaguars, Texans, Browns, Rams, etc., dont have the same chance as the Patriots. We have about a 20% chance. I can't give us more since this would be the 3rd straight NFC South team to reach the SB consecutively.

I would say pretty good since we are winning it this year!

Chances are low.
Next question.

One year is not a very long time to win a Super Bowl.
