Very true statement. The are not made as durable as boats for damn sure. Just about every trip i make i find something that needs to be fixed. 90% of the time it is minor and nothing that will stop you from using it but still just irritating. That said i have had my current 5th wheel for 8 years. My kids love it and the 5th wheel is so much easier to hook up and tow. Bite the bullet and put a good set of michellin tires and get rid of that chinese junk that comes with them. After two blowouts i did that and three years later the michellins still look great with zero issues.

Pull behinds and 5th wheels are great if you are not going to be driving very far, but an rv is so much better for actually traveling and it's not close.
The best part of an rv is literally waking up and pulling out of the parking spot while the coffee is brewing and the family is still asleep. When the wife wakes up she can literally hear you up breakfast and pour your coffee. Then the family and kids can sit at the table and eat. Road trips in a truck are still road trips in a truck, not nearly the room or comfort.
