I just called and got my bill cut almost in half for a year and got free hbo and Cinemax free for 6 months. Told me to call again at the end of April for a better deal.

My dish network promotion is fixing to run out so im fixing to call and cancel. it was 85 before they gave me 6 mon promotion. its now 55 for same channels . they fixing to jack it back up so im calling to cancel again. We'll see what happens.

What do you tell dish? Just threaten them to cancel? I just got new equipment in October so I'm sure I guess I'm locked into a contract. Will they call my bluff since I'll have to pay a termination fee?

I just switched to DirecTV for a solid $63/month for two years. Was with UVerse, was paying $150 for cable/internet. Now paying $120.

For consumers, att buying direct tv was a blessing.
I held out getting direct tv for years because of their awful pricing structure where you get one price for 6 months, then it jumps up, then jumps again at a year, all while being stuck on a 2 year contract. With att they made it simple and guaranteed a price for 2 years including internet and equipment. I recently switched, and although my internet speeds aren't what I had with twc cable, I'm very happy.

Im considering buying out of my Directv contract on going the Directv Now + Netflix route.
I used to love Directv, but they royally fricked me this last go around... Girl screwed up my initial order that set a clusterfrick in motion. I was paying $70 for everything before and now I'm locked into $98 right now.
Would cost me around 120 to buy out, but if I do the above mentioned, I'd pay that off in two months and be out ahead.
Anyone have the Directv Now? I read it was shitty at first, but they have improved greatly over the last month or so

Just canceled DirecTV and went with PS Vue. I love it so far. The main reason I didn't consider DirecTV now is that there is no DVR.
