Is this brewery any good? Never heard of them. LINK

It's okay, I haven't been blown away by any of their beers though.

They have a solid IPA in their core group as well as a good seasonal (Delta Momma).
The general consensus when I've talked with other brewers around town is that they opened with a larger than normal production capacity in order to attract AB InBev in a few years. Can anyone more in the know vouch for this?

i enjoy Charming Wit. It's a really odd beer but I like it

Out the gate they have shown more promise than any brewery in the state

I would put them a little better than NOLA. Pretty solid lineup.

More promise, how so?
I like Holy Roller and Modillon. Didn't really like Delta Momma (couldn't figure out what the hell they were going for) and Wits aren't my thing.
Did a great pineapple version of Holy Roller as well at the brewery.

I've heard this a few times from people within the industry that would have no reason to lie, or at least no apparent reason. Seems unusual to me.

I know the owner, Jacob, personally and this absolutely is not the case. This is of course just someone starting a rumor simply because a brewery opened up with enough financial standing to start with a pretty decent production capacity.

I really like their Holler Roller IPA. It seemed to have changed recently for the better.

Yeah they tweaked the grain bill and swapped yeast I think.

I've heard the same thing but also thought this

It really is. Courtyard had a great IPA that was right there with it some time back but I cannot recall the friggin name lol

Courtyard is always coming out with new IPAs. Id be willing to bet they probably have one on tap right now that's just as good if not better.

I heard Nola 004/005 can hang but have yet to try
Posted on 3/9/17 at 12:22 pm to Dav
The NOLA beer currently called 004 is better IMO. Once it hits distro it will be the new goat. People here don't call beers goat unless they can buy them at the store. That's why you never hear much hype about Courtyard's great beers.

Ive heard that too. Ive been meaning to get there to try it. I thought I read that they were going to retool their production IPAs soon?
Just checked Nola website. I wonder why they don't list what they currently have on tap?
