Jeff Sessions is a disaster and his stance on Marijuana and civil asset forfeiture is alarming. The marijuana issue has been debated at length here so we won't rehash - the benefits I have seen from living in Denver for 3 years speak for themselves. Tons of tax money, tons of new jobs, etc. etc.
Jeff Sessions is the Attorney General. His job is to enforce laws as they are on the books. I'm all for changing the laws, but I'm not for Jeff Sessions unilaterally making such decisions.

I'd also argue that Session's is correct about the junk science & half truths that are peddled around as fact to justify it's legalization
Sessions is the one peddling junk science and half truths.

shhhhh cmon man you're ruining my schtick here

It was my argument. And why? Is it incorrect? You have to meet certain requirements for ALL three. If you meet those requirements, you can purchase all 3 at one place. And then do all 3 with absolutely zero legal repercussions.

cops can test for alcohol in your system easily. Weed they can't really test an impaired driver for that easily
Sure they can, do a sobriety test on the side of the road to see if they are impaired.
If you're truly concerned about impaired drivers, then you would be screaming for banning alcohol, bc drunk drivers would FAR outnumber high drivers.

Just legalize the shite and be done.
All the mental gymnastics just crack me up. IDGAF if you want to get high every night.
The only thing pot heads don't consider is liability. Weed tests are behind in times. A business can't put you in a company vehicle when you test positive for weed and you kill some mom and her kid.
It's about more than your shrunken brain will think about.

with the whole "weed is cool" phenomenon in greater society I highly doubt that there are more drunk drivers than weed drivers especially when you consider all the pizza delivery drivers and other service industry workers
like hardly anybody drunk drives anymore, we have uber and shite
until they develop some kind of on the spot test for marijuana intoxication that police can carry around, the pot heads will just be more and more bold about their intoxicated driving. Hopefully such a product will come about soon so that justice can finally be handed out

The only reason Sessions has the AG job is to pay off a campaign debt for southern support and to whip arse on illegal immigration.
Unfortunately, his drug warrior bullshite is a nasty side effect and I hope blue states whip his arse on this topic. The GOP has a golden opportunity to be the party that ended the war on drugs, brought legal weed to the United States and put big hurting on the cartels wallets. And they are completely fricking it up and giving the democrats a free shot.
Hopefully Sessions' tenure as AG will be very brief.

Whenever conservatives hide behind the enforce all the laws bullshite, it tells me they are intellectually weak and has no clue what prosecutorial discretion really is.

honestly I'm happy as can be so I'm not gonna kill myself
but studies have shown that marijuana users are 350% more likely to kill themselves because the thc inhibits the release of dopamine in the brain making some users have suicidal thoughts. That coupled with the fact that marijuana tends to make people lazy and have poor work ethic and that many high paying jobs tend to have drug testing means that most users have a lowered socioeconomic status means that this really is a dangerous drug that should probably be regulated
