It's not breakfast/lunch/dinner, but it is what I eat in place of junky snacks like candy bars and potato chips.

Sometimes other fruits or vegetables outside of bananas/carrots, but point being, I am trying to introduce better foods into my diet. I would not say that I eat a great diet. Almost no one eats a truly healthy diet these days (just one coke puts you over the recommended amount of sugar per day), but it's certainly better than what it used to be. Even if I don't benefit from it, I'm not hurting myself or taking a risk the way I was with what I used to eat.

I hear you and commend you. It's just that "oatmeal with fruit" really is terrible for you. It is almost certainly causing an insulin reaction, which is what you should be trying to avoid. Have an egg and some cheese instead.
