An all knowing God wouldn't be subject to human reason. You would need to assume that we fully understand right from wrong, when in fact our understanding may be severely lacking. Who are we to say what is logical or rational to a being that brought the very ideas into existence.

Remember, God created Adam and Eve.Once they ate of the forbidden fruit God asked them, "Why are you hiding?" Neither answered. God said, "I know why. You ate the forbidden fruit.", then Adam blamed eve, and Eve blamed Adam. Neither one of them humbly took responsibility for their actions. God gave them a chance to make it right. They did not apologize or seek forgiveness, so God punished them.
All they had to do was avoid ONE tree. They did not. They blamed each other. (God specifically created Eve and gave her as a gift to Adam. Adam told God he should not have created Eve, it was her fault.) Adam clearly rejected God's gift. Selfishness like this had no place in PARADISE, so God kicked them out as a punishment.
God did not create death. Death came to this planet through Adam and Eve, so did the chaos. The first murder on this planet occurred by Adam and Eve's child.
God created PARADISE for man as long as man remained obedient to God.
Adam and Eve were told they would not die; however, once they ate the forbidden fruit, and did not repent, they got kicked out.
GOD DID NOT CREATE SIN. God gave man a free-will, so man could choose to love God or not love God. Loving God has a blessing. Not loving God has a punishment. The choice is yours.
