Exactly. People just assuming they didn't talk to Casspi, Cousins, and their agent before they made this decision are just dumb and are assuming things that aren't true

The people on this board overreact so much over things they know virtually nothing about and that basically have no importance.
There is no history of Dell fricking over a player by just dropping them because of an injury. Zero. None. It's 500% more likely it went down like this "Hey, we are resigning you as soon as you are better. In the meantime we are going to waive you so we can do what we can to be a playoff bound team for when you come back. Work for you Omri? AD, Cousins? sound good? Yes? Awesome, see you in a few weeks."
So everyone here needs to chill out for like 2 seconds before you start jumping to conclusions that have no basis in reality.

It wasn't just this board though. Similar reactions on other boards and twitter. I really wish there just was a different internet for the intelligent and level headed

Part of the function of this board is to pull each other back from the ledge when the obvious conclusion is the wrong conclusion. Especially when so many news stories are written by people who are either clueless/wrong themselves or writing misleading stories to maximize clicks. I think most people who've read this thread are much calmer now that they've heard opposing view points than when they first heard the news.

Not true---Lance Stephson got hurt--we cut him but helped him rehab and told him we would resign him when ready. He chose to sign with another team. One thing I can say about this organization they try to take care of their players. Long list from Ryan Anderson and that gf thing all the way to lower players like Lance.

Why can't people just stop and think first? Or ask questions to gain knowledge? Why must the first reaction be to have a polarizing take when you don't have he full scope of info?
That is why I call people dumb. Not because they are incapable but because they don't respect the process of acquiring knowledge. They are cave dwellers who just react

The social media world reward system isn't all that different the reward system the click bait news writers work under.
That's part of why I like anonymous news aggregation sites like TD. People that come here do come here for knowledge rather than social attention. But not everyone is super analytical so the conversations don't ever look like 2 Vulcans discussing the news of the day. That might make a funny SNL skit though.

That's fine. I don't expect everyone to be as deep, analytical as me or you, but what I don't get is: Why jump immediately to opinion?
The smartest thinker of all time showed us that the first thing you should do is ask questions. If you are not fully versed in every aspect like someone like I am, then just ask a bunch of questions, THEN form your opinion

my favorite move is the demand for cliffs on a linked article.
read the article and form your own opinion

It's a message board. People vomit out their frustrations and anxieties about a team. They are fans.
I'm well pretty knowledgeable about the NBA. I don't have time to study every detail about the CBA but I tend to know more then most. But I use this place sometimes to shoot out my frustrations even when I know what im posting us bullshite.

The "it's a message board" excuse is terrible IMO. Just because the Internet started off as a place where losers and the socially inept escaped to be heard... does that mean it has to stay that way? Why can't it evolve?

Just because it's something for you doesn't mean it's something for someone else.
Sometimes I'm in for highminded conversations.
Sometimes I'm emotional and vomit out bullshite.
Sometimes I'm just fricking around.
A message board can be whatever it wants to be and whatever the users feel that day.
You can be fricking Kierkegaard one day and Jerry Lewis the next. Try it. You might like it.

Why is the sky blue? Why do morbidly obese people continue to stuff their face even though they know it's killing them?
Asking why to some questions, to me, is a lost cause. The sooner you can just accept what is is what is which it seems you have done with this franchise the happier you'll be in the long run. Some things just won't change. Just partake in the discussion and let people have their opinions whether wrong or right. Doesn't affect your life in a meaningful way one iota I'm sure.
