I've never understood the Nazi pageantry and the rampant drug use by all forces.
The guys were eating amphetamines like candy.

I've always been fascinated with the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the germans

The Nazi dabblings in the occult has always interested me.

You would probably do a lot of drugs too if you experienced what they did and seeing all of your friends getting blown up all day long.

The political climates of Japan and Germany in the late 20's and 30's that led to the war interest me the most.
The ultra-nationalism. Limiting critical media, creating cults of personality. The things you need to watch out for to make sure never happen again.

I actually have quite a few books on that.
It amazes me that Hitler so firmly believed in the supernatural, but he was still capable of such atrocities.

Propaganda my friend.
The country was destitute and the lavish pageantry was intoxicating for those people.

Nazi's weren't the only ones.

Troops and pilots still take adderall.
I approve of this.

The disputes between the Japanese Army and the Navy about which direction to take.
After invading Manchuria they had contemplated going North into Siberia to get their resources. But they got their tails kicked by the Soviets in 1939 and the non-aggression pact between Hitler and Stalin nixed that.
So, they decided to go South and inevitably into directly conflict with the US.

Black people fighting for other people's freedom only to come back to a segregated America.

I have a few pieces of German jewelry which my great uncle...acquired. The SS pieces are well crafted and elegant, and ruined with a symbol of hatred and filth.

Sounds like liberal America.

German U-boat warfare has always fascinated me.

I'm fascinated that the winners of the war wasn't something that was inevitable from the get-go. Unlike other conflicts where it seemed pretty obvious when you look back who was going to win, you could make a reasonable argument that had Hitler made a few different decisions then the Nazi's could have a prevailed.
It was a legit conflict where strategy truly mattered.

Anything regarding Hitler's personal life has always fascinated me.
Failed artist, passionate opera fan, etc. He had a loving mother and a drunk father, but that was still better than a lot of kids.
It's not like he was chained in a basement as a kid and was morphed into this animal. He was born an animal and brilliant and took advantage of a failed country pissed off at the rest of the world for the treaty of Versailles.

The experimental technology of both sides is extremely intriguing

The SS state within the German state. Hitler himself had misgivings about it, but he was so preoccupied with the war effort that he was unable or unwilling to reign Himmler in. If Germany had survived, there would have been a showdown. The usual suspects at the top of the Nazi leadership were already positioning themselves to be Hitler's successor. Himmler, Bormann, and Goering each thought they had a rightful claim, and they all had reason to fear Heydrich.

Hitler believed Aryans were some ancient race of superior humans and tried to connect them to various things. They had a team in Tibet looking for Shangri La because they wanted to prove it was some mythical Aryan paradise. I don't know if they believed religious artifacts were Aryan in origin but Hitler believed the Ark of the Covenant, Holy Grail, etc had magical powers.
Hellboy wasn't based on any true story but I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to summon demons. There was a group involved in black magic doing all kinds of weird stuff.
The Nazi Bell was supposedly a time machine, may have even used alien technology. There was talk of Werner von Braun having dealings with aliens. That kind of stuff is interesting to me.
