While the statements about his other misbehaviors in life make him look bad, I'm going to be hesitant before hopping on the train that he's a rapist. Too many false accusations in recent years.
To be fair, false accusations do not usually end up with forcible rape charges.

multiple charges, including second-degree forcible rape, cyberstalking and assault on a female.
The fact that he was also charged with cyberstalking, in addition to rape and assault makes me think they have texts or social media posts that ain't so good.
Here's NC's statue for second-degree forcible rape -
quote:
14-27.22. Second-degree forcible rape.
(a) A person is guilty of second-degree forcible rape if the person engages in vaginal intercourse with another person:
(1) By force and against the will of the other person; or
(2) Who is mentally disabled, mentally incapacitated, or physically helpless, and
the person performing the act knows or should reasonably know the other
person is mentally disabled, mentally incapacitated, or physically helpless.
(b) Any person who commits the offense defined in this section is guilty of a Class C
felony.
(c) Upon conviction, a person convicted under this section has no rights to custody of or rights of inheritance from any child conceived during the commission of the rape, nor shall the person have any rights related to the child under Chapter 48 or Subchapter 1 of Chapter 7B of the General Statutes. (1979, c. 682, s. 1; 1979, 2nd Sess., c. 1316, s. 5; 1981, cc. 63, 179; 1993, c. 539, s. 1130; 1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(c); 2002-159, s. 2(b); 2004-128, s. 8; 2015-181, s. 4(a), (b).)
The difference in second-degree and first-degree is that first-degree has an age component (victim younger than 14 and offender a least 4 years older) or the rape is committed with a deadly weapon involved.
Interesting that NC has an assault statue specifically for men against women -
quote:
North Carolina has a number of different classifications for assault cases. Assaults can be charged at a misdemeanor or felony level and can be differentiated by age of the victim as well as gender. When a woman is assaulted, the alleged perpetrator is usually charged with an Assault on a Female, which is a Class A1 misdemeanor in North Carolina. Of all misdemeanor classifications, a Class A1 is the most serious.
Here's the NC cyberstalking statue (long AF so not pasting here)
If they charged him with cyberstalking then they have electronic evidence of his shenanigans.

Yeah the amount of false accusations
Fyi...You do know that false rape accusations are as common as false robbery accusations.
They are not common at all...only in your head. False accusations vs Unfounded accusations are 2 different things. Just because rapes can not be proven in a court of law because juries are stupid does not mean it did not happen.
Rapists raping and getting away with it is way more common than a woman making a "false accusation."
So keep siding with the rapist.
