Bought tickets for Houston today

No because I saw them in 86 and 88 and that band does not exist anymore. I am however going to see a metal band that still kicks arse live this Summer called Iron Maiden in Salt Lake.

I only recognize the Paul Dianno era of Iron Maiden. This new replacement singer is trash. They should change their name. Its not even the same band anymore.

Those ticket prices are a joke. I happily paid $250 for GnR tickets on the second row but I'm not paying $300+ for a GA floor ticket or $400 for a good seat.

Agreed. I am a Metallica lifer but these prices are insane. In 2008 I paid about $90 for 4th row for the arena tour. Yes, I am still going.....

I'm thinking about doing Houston. I've already seen them 4x live, including in Houston and most recently at Voodoo.

What city are you seeing those prices at? I paid $155 for section 103 row A for the Houston show yesterday.

Agree. These ticket prices really suck.

Dallas. I looked them up this morning and almost fell out of my chair when I saw the prices.

Yeah I don't blame you for passing on those prices, that's ridiculous. I got mine on presale because I had a feeling the third party market for these would be nuts.

I bought my husband tickets Thursday for the Live Nation presale. I offered to buy him the $150/each general admission tickets on the field(this one at Cardinals stadium in Glendale, AZ)...but he said that is too much. So instead I just got us semi upper level seats...with fees it was $186 for two tickets.
He loves metal music and has loved Metallica since he was a kid. Seeing them live was always something he wanted to do but had never done before. Not sure if he really likes their new stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing their older stuff.

I was watching the clock count down to 10:00 yesterday waiting to finally redeem my Ticketmaster vouchers then found out they're completely worthless. I paid $80 for Atlanta in 2009, I haven't bought tickets yet but I will at some point. Waited almost a decade for them to come back to ATL and now the tix are double, oh well. I'm sure they'll go to Bogota, Colombia 14 times in 2018

Lars v. Napster killed my passion for Metallica. Then, they came out with that documentary, and I hated him even more

I imagine Metallica still kills it live.
