Dave, how many minutes does he spend breaking down how he concocted a plot to get 6 high school kids to say they were going to another school just so he could take a job coaching under Ed O?

So what he basically said was that LSU fans are extremely critical of recruits and players while Kansas fans are nothing but love.

If recruits can't handle what's posted on an anonymous message board by obvious Bama trolls and plants then LSU is probably not the place for them.

I've been surprised by the way the majority of Tiger fans respond. I can see why some recruits have a negative impression of the response they get from home fans.
On my home board we're obviously disappointed when a potential recruit opts for another school. But the average response is to wish him well and good luck.

your home board responds that way because you are more often than not surprised when a 3 star picks your school.
If you land 3 of those LA kids, I will be blown away. LSU can find 10 more that will fight for that scholly.

While I agree that there are quite a number of trolls and "plants," though I don't know if that's the word I would use, the notion that recruits don't pay attention to online chatter has been debunked time after time. Like it or not, the hackneyed virtriol online has a negative effect. Fortunately, we've been good enough to mitigate it, but I suspect that a contributing factor to players leaving the sate, especially players from Baton Rouge, is the dumb fricks who take every chance to shite on the school, athletic department, coaches, and players.

Listening to him talk about New Orleans restaurants would be enough for me to run to the nearest airport. No way those kids are going to go to Kansas and he won't be there two years from now.
