Is Will Hoge any good?

I've never heard of Will Hoge, but he's playing with Chris Knight soon. Knight is my favorite artist, but I know nothing of Will Hoge.
Is Hoge any good? I only care about seeing Knight, but I won't go if Hoge is gonna get in the way.

No, he's more of an acoustic act at a frat house party. He's okay. Nothing all that unique about him.
That's my impression from seeing him 5 or 6 years ago. I haven't paid attention to him since so his career track may have gone through a change.

If he's still doing coke, he's great live. Saw a show in Nashville a couple of years back and he played for over 4 hours.
