How to get water stains off glass shower door?

My mother is 90, and hasn't cleaned her shower door in about a year (yes ). I tried Tilex with bleach, Scrub and Bubbles, and 409. Left all 3 of them sit for a bit then used a magic eraser. Can't get the heavy stuff off even with some serious elbow grease. Any suggestions?

vinegar
or head to autozone and grab some griots glass polish, although that will require some elbow grease if you dont have a polisher or at least a power drill

Vinegar and Dawn blue dish water soap. It does a kick arse job. Look up the 'recipe' for it online. It works

distilled white vinegar works great for hard water stains.
When done, get some Fog X and apply it to the inside of the glass.

Speaking from experience.....it is real bad (and it looks like it), replace the door and put Rain-X on the new door. I tried every home and store bought remedy.
