Would be a great hire. I used to work with him. Has every New Orleans connection you could ask for!

What's spelled wrong so I can correct it.

So it is a "DJ" not a "CJ"...

For which position. I would rather him at RB coach.

You could always just read the article.

Johnson is being considered to fill either position on Orgeron's staff, the sources said.

The article said he could coach either. I did read the article.

Coached Tre Turner, and the honey badger at St Aug

He's had success developing players at both positions in college, and has also handled special teams at one of his college stops previously.

A coach that has recruiting connections and can develop players is better than a coach that has one or the other. Or one that can't coach or recruit.
The main draw is obviously his NOLA ties. But his development history is a plus, not something that would have to be compensated for.

Looks like Memphis is paying him $175k a year.
Double his salary and he moves an hour away from his hometown. No way he doesn't come right?

From what I've read David Johnson would be my first choice as one of the replacements.
There's a poster 5Alive who seems pretty connected with the scene in NOLA. Like to get his take on whether or not he thinks David would stay long term.
Would love to see us get Burns from Bama as RB coach and David Johnson as WR coach.
Either way, "connections" in NOLA (and I would extend that to the River Parishes) is a prerequisite. Incredibly fertile recruiting ground.

That would be my dream and then send Jenkins to an administrative role and bring Dunbar back
