Montana at least resembled his old self and had a little bit of magic left. Tiger, not so much.

As an Oiler fan I recall Joe at least had a sniff of greatness in that Chief uniform. Short lived but it was there.
Tigers collapse and possible but improbable comeback is still the most compelling story in sports. Now it's sadness is compelling. The fact that if he won a John Deere it would be a big deal, is sad.
I know I am sad. I really wanted him to give Jack a run.
