It's been rumored for about three months now. Can't believe he bought the course thinking it would make money.

Guess it's losing more money than planned. Sad to see it go.

He bought it from the previous owner because he got it for literally pennies on the dollar. For what he paid, the course, existing infrastructure, land, etc., it was a no brainer. The place is worth more than he paid for it, open golf course or not.

Time to cash in on the golf hobby. In 10 years golf won't exist anywhere. It's an old game that isn't economically feasible for golfers or clubs. I just sold my clubs on ebay for pennies on the dollar.
