I've never understood the GOP's conservative claims but the utterance of a reduction in military spending makes them lose their minds. They're happy to let that number bloat out of control because apparently a core of conservatism is an infinitely funded military.

We can do that by physically getting out of foreign countries. The technology now exists that will allow us to keep tabs on them from within our own borders.

I'm all for miliary budget cuts, but that chart is misleading. Purchasing power parity closes that spending gap significantly with China and Russia.

Well we kind of have to be now that all of our allies have cut their funding
