Two days removed from his official visit to Alabama, and four-star linebacker and Alabama commit Christopher Allen knows where’s he’s going to school.

“It’s pretty much shut down,” Allen told 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins at the USA Football North American Championship on Wednesday. “I’m going to Alabama.”

LSU has turned up the heat as of late, working to flip the Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab product.

"It was very hard decision to pass up my home school that's five minutes away from my house," Allen said. "But you know, Bama has some great coaching staff. Coach Tosh and Coach Jeremy, I really like them. I feel like they'll get me where I need to be."

Allen sat down with head coach Nick Saban during the official visit over the weekend.

"He was pretty much just asking me am I still deciding," Allen said. "He heard I was contemplating. I pretty much told him it's a done deal."

After the official visit to Tuscaloosa, Allen met with the LSU coaching staff to give them the news that he is sticking with his original commitment that he made in November.

"I told Coach O I'm probably going to go with Alabama," Allen said. "He was really sad. It made me kinda sad looking at his face. I really just wanted to tell him so they could go get whoever they needed to get."

Allen touched on whether he's relieved that he's arrived at a final decision.

"The weight isn't really off until Signing Day cause I know they're going to have a whole bunch of cameras in my face after I sign," Allen said. "The weight is pretty much almost off, except for Twitter."

Speaking of Twitter, the Bayou State 'backer tweeted a picture of himself in an LSU jersey on Monday morning, creating quite the discussion on the social media platform.

"I liked the picture," Allen said laughing. "So I posted it. I didn't think it would get that kind of attention that it did."
