Have you familiarized yourself with some of the required documents needed for even a free ID, and some challenges some people have obtaining those documents?
Did you know that many of the things tha require an ID in the list in your first post, the places will accept an expired state ID? Guess where you can't use an expired state ID? So they should get a new one. Fair. Did you know in a transient society/economy a lot of people move between states, and some states require a current state ID to obtain a new state ID in that state?
Sometimes considering these things requires a little thinking outside the box and some empathy. Yes, to you and me it's a foreign concept to get through life without a driver's license or ID. There's a wealth of information out there that won't satiate your confirmation bias like this board will that can answer your question.
I don't think Voter ID law are inherently racist. I do think they're an attempt to discourage certain demographics from voting, or at the least make it more challenging for them.

Is a legitimate voter disenfranchised by an illegal alien voting in the opposite direction of the actual US citizen? Her vote was nullified by the illegal action of an illegal alien.
Tough spot to be in if you (not you specifically) think disenfranchisement is an important issue.

The Same documents you need to be registered in public school. If this is the case then start issuing ID's in high schools, and then keeps citizens in the system so they can renew every 5-10 years. Once you are in the system like at the DMV you stay there in the state you reside in.
We have the technology and ability to keep up with people on databases so I dont see why once someone is in a system it is so hard to stay in it unless people are trying to go off of the grid.

I don't give a frick. If you are not capable of obtaining an ID you are not capable of being an adult and don't deserve to vote. Quit sucking at being an adult and you have no problem.

And here is the shifted goalposts.
The answer is...who cares? That is their problem. The state is making it free. All they have to do is give a frick enough to get an ID.
There are only two major Western Democracies that don't universally require ID. It is insane and designed for one thing: fraud.
There is literally no other reason.
