Looking to take a group on a conservation goose hunt in Feburary in SWLA. Who do you all recommend as a guide service. My usual guys are both booked solid.

Honestly I would not hire a guide in SWLA. Go to Arkansas. Especially with this hot weather. Last year the geese were out of town before spec season even closed
If you have to, see if goose guides inc is doing conservation hunts

Henning has killed a lot of geese this year. But going north couldn't hurt

my lease is close to the Arkansas line and the geese are all but gone.

Not going to Arkansas. Its a group of local plant personnel we are getting together for a Saturday or Sunday morning throw down. Hand them a shiny new gun blast some geese, have a drink towards the end and done by noon situation.

We always went with Doug's in that area. I never had any complaints.

I have since been steered clear of "Doug's". I read several text message exchanges with clients and got about 6 PM's on FB last night that were not to flattering. Eric Rue is Booked solid as well. Any others? I have one locked down but will pay the cancel fee if I can find better.

I'm a fan of Doug's, go every year for marsh hunts. For what you are looking for, though, with a group I'd say Goose Guides Inc. since they hunt rag spreads in layouts. Erik Rue doesn't do that, that I'm aware of, and Doug's doesn't typically either. GGI specializes in group hunts like that

GGI no longer books conservation season hunts
