Both Arkansas and Ole Miss were terrible last year. Not even Les could've damaged player morale to the point LSU loses either of those games.
The fact is, my 90 year old grandfather could have rushed for 100 yards against that Ole Miss defense.
Orgeron lost the only two games against decent teams he faced, scoring a total of ten points combined. Before you say anything about Louisville, let me remind you that Kentucky beat them and actually ran the ball much more effectively than we did.
We may well have lost to Oklahoma and wound up with the same record. Personally, I'd rather finish with a win in a lesser bowl than a loss in a more prestigious one.
I just find it funny how so many on here think Coach O and Ensminger worked some miracle. They didn't. Even Les/Cam put up 56 and 600+ yards in the Texas Bowl against a terrible defense.

To be fair, it was 0-0 going into the fourth. It's not like Bama's offense looked all world either. Etling also one hoped several passes to open receivers
That's the point. From the start the QB looked rattled and couldn't make a play. Isn't that the same as JJ in the title game? So why not try Harris? The coaches clearly have zero faith in him.
the current staff isn't just going to get a pass from me because the head coach is Cajun.

Say what you want, but you can't say we ran the same offense for Etling under Miles initially. We came out with 3 WR's for the first time ever no matter who the QB was.
This is complete bullshite. Nothing in your long dumb arse post was factual.

Actually we did come out with 3 WR's. So your comment is actually false.

had Les not been fired, we still blow out Missouri and Southern Miss in devastating fashion.
That is by no means certain. We sure as hell didn't blow out Jacksonville State or Mississippi State in "devastating" fashion. I don't see how they were much better. One of the signature criticisms of Miles was that he would let an inferior team play us closer than they should.

I'm all for replacing the coach if doing so for the sake of improvement. But changing just to change and actually possibly (probably) downgrading is not smart decision-making.
Every coaching change is done with the intention of improving. Nobody ever said "let's fire the coach we have and hire one who's worse". They might not always be right in thinking that the change will result in improvement, but they always think it, so there is literally never a situation like the one you are describing.

The only difference in how the season plays out is that we beat Florida and play in the Sugar Bowl instead of the Citrus.
You have got to be fricking kidding. Do you seriously think we go to Fayetteville and blow out Arkansas with Les running the show? Have you lived under a rock for 12 years?

Very very difficult to argue or make a point against the op.
Etling > Harris.
What it all boils down to.

Yes. Teams that couldn't stop the run rarely beat Miles.
Arkansas is 89th in opponents rushing yards per game.

Unless they were Arkansas. Some really shitty Arkansas teams beat us or played us much closer than they should have when he was here. We had exactly ONE convincing (more than 7-point margin) win over Arkansas in his 11 games against them. He went 6-5 against them despite the fact that we finished with a better record and ranking (if either team finished ranked) every single year during his tenure. If you think he would have taken this year's team up there one week after the Alabama loss and put a four-touchdown whipping on them, then I don't know what to tell you other than that you are full of shite.

The coaches are on the hook for not trying something different if a qb sucks. For example the NC year, JJ performed poorly while a good backup sat the bench during the NC game.

Was Lee even eligible? I don't know if we ever got a clear cut answer on this.
I would think that if he wasn't eligible that he would not have suited up for the game.

Who is the a-hole in the 59th minute when Etling throws first TD, pointing out the flag on the ground to BH? Like the td is gonna be called back to give BH confidence. bullshite

It is at the 39th minute and it kind of looks like the DB coach Corey Raymond but it's hard to tell.

But according 31 you can ignore the specific strengths and weaknesses of a team at a particular moment in time if you've beaten that team several times in the past, i.e. Les would have beaten Florida because "Les owns Florida". By that logic Les would have to lose to Arkansas and Ole Miss regardless of the fact that they had such weak run defenses this year. (Joke)
Having said that, the Florida loss is the only real hiccup I've seen so far from Orgeron. He should have won that game. But what made it so frustrating was that it resembled issues which were frustrating about Les Miles, especially the ending... which makes me feel like Miles would have lost that game as well.

Semjackass, please explain to the uninformed what your "Swag" code word means. Does Deshaun Watson have it? Jameis Winston? Russell Wilson? Colin Kapernick? Cam Newton? Vince Young? How about Chad Kelly? Johnny Football? Tim Tebow? On LSU's team which QBs have that "Swag" you speak of?
What about your "Up North" code word? What does that mean?
I am clear about your position. I just want those who click to agree with you to know exactly what they are agreeing to because you are not man enough to say it directly. But you use your code words in every post you make.
I know you will not respond because you are a coward who hides behind code words to spout your hatred. I will call you out every time I see your veiled code word fueled racism. It has no place in LSU sports because we rely on those you spew your racism toward.

Miles and Cam destroyed Harris confidence. Tell me why he has gotten more inaccurate over time? The guy never had these problems with simple throws in HS or his Freshman year. It started showing at spots in his Soph year, and came to a head the first games of this past year.
He's an emotional guy, which is not great for a QB, but i still hold out hope that Canada can make him a LOT better.

Making a change at QB is like making a change at Head Coach. If the status quo is A) not acceptable and B) not going to change on its own, then there is literally no reason not to make a change.
